HerA is a multimedia guide developed by the research team from Università della Valle d’Aosta and Touchware to create an innovative and complete solution to improve museum appeal by enhancing visitor experience in an interactive and unique manner.
HerA is based on indoor localisation and user tracking and has been created for museum and archaeological sites. Its specific technology allows users to be immersed into an interactive world (audio, video, images etc) based on their location…a world of improved reality…
…This is just the beginning!
Using HerA, the system manager can access strategic information such as flow of visitors, ambient parameters, number of visitors in any given area, itineraries and much, much more!!!
HerA is the product of an ESF research project for the creation and development of a research unit.
Members of the HerA workgroup are Università della Valle d’Aosta, the Touchware team, Everyware and staff from Regola. This is a strong team with the knowhow for the integration of software and proximity sensors which are used for user tracking and indoor navigation.
Regola provides technological skills regarding sensorial and industrial solutions.
Group work focussed on the creation of a specific instrument for museums and attention was paid to a wide variety of aspects ranging from the technological to humanistic: innovation and ease of use were priority.
HerA firmly believes in teamwork, since working together means improving one’s customer-oriented offer.
